Well it appears Hanley needs a better agent…there are all kinds of things wrong with this deal. Now he'll be a free agent at 30 when he's more likley to get huge money at the ages between 25-28. This also means though that serious baseball in Florida may be around for a while. Their biggest problem in the past has been locking up for long term their great talent; Miguel Cabrera, Josh Beckett, Dontrelle Willis, Edgar Renturia, ect…

This, coinciding with the talk of a new ball park, and the fact that the team is currently in first place means that the NL East will be serious through and through for a while. The Marlins may be good more often then once every 10 years now.
