At this point, having one of the most holy figures in the world(depending on your religion) can only help the Nats as they need something to turn this season around...even if it is a papal blessing...I wonder if Benedict will be as inspired as the Nats were by the Joe Dimaggio quotes in the dugout. "Why do I preach as best I can? Because there may be a catholic out there watching me for the first time."
"How many times can you put together catching the president first, and then having the pope use your office? Not many people can say that," Acta said.

I think he needs to bless every peice of equipment in that clubhouse
Usually the pope, blesses everyone there and all the things in his presence at the time. I've got all sorts of trinkets that "were blessed by the pope" from when my friend went to Rome. They are a shot glass with the St. Peter's basilica and a pope lighter. If this road trip isn't very good, hopefully the homestand will be better from all the blessing.
The Nats need all the help they can get. Let any religious figure in, maybe there is some God or god that can help them play defense.
